Bee Frontier specs

Bee Frontier is the next-generation Bee wearable. You can wear it on your wrist or clip it onto clothing. Amazon highlights an ultra-soft silicone wristband, three colors (Lavender, Sage, Onyx), IP67 water resistance, up to seven days of battery life, and USB-C charging.

It uses dual microphones with advanced noise filtering for noisy places like restaurants or open offices. Privacy controls match the rest of the Bee lineup: a microphone button to control when audio is processed, a visible LED when it is on, and optional auto-off if no sound is detected for a set period (for example 5 or 15 minutes).

Bee Eclipse specs

Bee Eclipse is a new form factor: a slim, lightweight device about the size of a credit card that attaches magnetically to the back of a phone. Amazon says it delivers more than 21 days of battery life on a single charge. Colors are Silver, Midnight, Honey, and Blush.

Feature-wise it works like Frontier: conversation summaries, insights, and to-dos, with one on/off button and a visible indicator light while summarizing. Amazon says audio is never stored, cannot be accessed or shared by others, and users are prompted to get permission from call participants each time a recording is started.

How Bee works, Bee Pro, and Alexa+

When Bee is on, it gathers context from conversations and connected apps. You review summaries in the Bee mobile app or the new desktop app, with templates for needs such as lectures, care plans, or brainstorms. Bee can surface recurring themes and recommend personalized goals and actions.

Integrations include Gmail, Google Calendar, and Microsoft Outlook so Bee can surface action items, draft follow-up emails, or create calendar invites after a call or meeting. You can also connect Apple HealthKit for wellness context and photos for a visual layer on daily memories.

New for this generation: connect Bee to Alexa+ for hands-free summaries, insights, and to-dos on Echo devices (Voice ID keeps your Bee insights tied to you), and connect Bee to Amazon.com for personalized shopping recommendations on the Amazon homepage and in the Bee apps when you mention items in conversation.

Bee Private Compute privacy model

Both devices use Bee Private Compute. Amazon says audio is processed into insights in real time and then deleted—no audio is stored. Transcripts are encrypted with keys that only your device creates and controls, so Amazon cannot access them unless you choose to share. You can delete transcripts and summaries anytime. A single press turns the device on or off, with an LED when it is active.

Bee Pioneer vs Frontier and Eclipse

Bee Pioneer was the first Bee personal AI device and one of the early wearables that went beyond simple audio transcription. Frontier is positioned as the next-generation wearable (wrist or clothing clip) with longer weekly battery life and IP67. Eclipse adds a phone-magnet option with multi-week battery. Amazon acquired Bee; today's launch is the first new Bee hardware since that acquisition, according to TechCrunch's coverage of the announcement.
