Amazon Great Indian Festival 2026 is live now. It opened to all customers at 12:00 AM IST on October 8, 2026, and Amazon's own newsroom now says the festival is live on Amazon.in. Amazon confirmed the start date on September 20. Prime early access from 12:00 AM IST on October 7 was reported by ET Retail, The Indian Express and HT Tech, but Amazon's own pages still do not state an early-access date. Early Deals ran from September 25 until the main sale opened. An end date has not been announced. This guide covers the main categories for Indian shoppers in INR, with prices we re-checked live on Amazon.in on October 8, 2026, between 12:42 and 12:48 AM IST, minutes after the sale opened.
We may earn a commission from qualifying purchases at no extra cost to you.

Amazon Great Indian Festival 2026: dates and offers
The Great Indian Festival has been live on Amazon.in since 12:00 AM IST on October 8, 2026. Customers get a 10% instant discount on SBI credit cards, debit cards, and credit-card EMI on eligible purchases. Prime members get up to 10% extra benefits on select offers. Amazon Pay ICICI Bank credit card holders earn unlimited 5% cashback as Prime members, or 3% without Prime. Amazon Pay Later adds 10% cashback on selected purchases and Pay in 3 interest-free EMIs on carts of ₹1,500 and above. Caps and product eligibility sit on each product page — read them before you pay. At our October 8 check (12:42–12:48 AM IST), product pages showed SBI caps such as up to ₹500 on the Galaxy S25 Ultra, ₹1,250 on most other phones, ₹2,250 on the iPhone 16, ₹3,000 on headphones, watches, a robot vacuum and a TV, ₹7,000 on a 65-inch TV and ₹10,000 on a Samsung refrigerator. Fire TV, Echo and Nike pages spelled out the full terms: 10% instant discount up to ₹1,500 on SBI credit cards for non-EMI payments, on a minimum purchase of ₹2,490.
Early Deals went live around September 25 and gave way to the main sale at midnight on October 8. At our 12:42 AM IST check, the Amazon.in festival page (signed out) had swapped its Early Deals section for a Mega Festival Deals section, and many product pages carried Mega Festival Deals or Great Indian Festival badges. Amazon has not published an end date for the festival. Past editions often ran toward Diwali (November 8 in 2026), but treat that as a pattern, not a promise.
Prime early access on October 7: reported, not confirmed by Amazon
ET Retail and The Indian Express both reported on October 6 that Prime members get early access from October 7, a day before the sale opened to everyone on October 8, and HT Tech reported on October 7 that Prime members got access to special deals from 12:00 AM IST that day. Amazon's own About Amazon India pages, updated around midnight on October 8, now say the festival is live and that it "opens for all customers" at midnight on October 8, but they still do not state a Prime early-access date. So we still treat the October 7 early access as reported, not official. It matters less now: the main sale is open to everyone, Prime or not.
Prime Only Offers: extra 5% off or ₹250 back
ET Retail reported on October 6 that Prime members will also get what Amazon calls Prime Only Offers during the festival: an additional 5% off on lakhs of products or, alternatively, ₹250 back on a shopping cart worth ₹2,500. According to the report, these offers come on top of discounts from brands and sellers, as well as applicable bank offers and Amazon Pay benefits. Amazon told ET Retail these are its largest-ever selection of additional savings for members, surfaced on the Amazon homepage and a dedicated storefront. Amazon's own festival deals post, updated for the October 8 start, now also says Prime members get "an additional 5% off on the largest-ever selection and ₹250 cashback on lakhs of products", though it does not repeat the ₹2,500 cart condition ET Retail reported.
What this means in practice: on a ₹2,500 cart the ₹250 back works out to 10%, but it is a flat amount, so it is worth proportionally less on a bigger cart. Amazon's newsroom mentions the offers but not their full terms, and none of the product pages we checked at 12:42–12:48 AM IST on October 8 showed them (we check signed out, so Prime-only prices may not appear), so the prices below do not include them. Check the offer box on the product page and your cart summary before you count on the extra savings.
How we list prices
Every product card below shows a price we saw live on Amazon.in on October 8, 2026, between 12:42 and 12:48 AM IST, just after the main sale opened (each card shows its exact check time), with the ASIN affiliate link. The big number is the selling price the product page showed, and the struck-through number is the MRP the page showed. Where the page showed an SBI bank offer, we name the card and the cap in the specs line. Only where the page spelled out the full terms (card, percentage, cap and minimum purchase) do we also give the effective price after that offer; that extra saving only applies if your card and cart qualify. We do not add bank, Prime or Prime Only Offers savings to the listed price, and we do not invent discounts. If a product was unavailable at our check, we removed it rather than leave an old price. Prices move; re-check on sale day.
Smartphones: festival deals now live
Phones are the busiest category, and the midnight start brought real cuts: the Galaxy M47 fell ₹9,000 to ₹26,999, the iPhone 16 fell to ₹76,999, and the OnePlus N6x, Nord 6, Nord CE6 and Redmi Turbo 5 each dropped ₹1,000–₹3,000. We also added the Galaxy S25 Ultra at ₹89,999. At our October 6, 7 and 8 (12:45 AM IST) checks, the iPhone 17 listings we checked on Amazon.in (four 256GB colours and the 512GB model) all showed "Currently unavailable", as did the OnePlus 13, Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy M06 5G listings we were tracking, so those cards stay removed. Laptops
Laptop deals are still thinner than phones. Neither laptop we track changed price at the sale start. Amazon's festival deals post quotes the new MacBook Neo at ₹68,990, but the listing it links to showed "Currently unavailable" at our 12:47 AM IST check, so we have not added it. The RTX 3050 Victus we listed on October 3 went unavailable on October 6, so we list the in-stock RTX 4050 version. We list live page prices; add SBI 10% only if the product page shows it for your card.
HP Victus Gaming (Ryzen 7, RTX 4050, 16GB)

TVs and streaming sticks
Large-screen LED and QLED sets show steep MRP gaps, and the TCL 65-inch QLED dropped another ₹3,000 at the sale start. We added TCL's 55-inch QD-Mini LED at ₹59,990. Streaming sticks are cheap upgrades if your TV is still HDMI-only, but note the Fire TV Stick 4K Select went up ₹500 overnight to ₹3,999.

(price checked Oct 8, 2026, 12:43 AM IST.)
Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Plus
Higher-tier 4K stick with Wi-Fi 6E class features per listing. Great Indian Festival badge, same ₹5,499 as on October 7. (price checked Oct 8, 2026, 12:44 AM IST.)
Audio and wearables
Earbuds, headphones, Echo speakers and Apple Watch models are easy festive gifts. The big sale-start mover is the Apple Watch Series 11, down from ₹49,900 to ₹36,499. Galaxy Buds Core held at ₹4,190 against a ₹9,999 MRP, the JBL Live 780NC fell ₹1,000, and we added Sony's WH-1000XM6 at ₹35,989. Echo Dot (₹4,499) and Echo Spot (₹6,999) kept their festival prices, and their pages showed the full SBI credit card terms.

Cameras
Camera deals are quieter than phones. Amazon's electronics roundup has mentioned Sony full-frame and Insta360 action cams with bank discounts. The Sony vlog kit below did not change price at the sale start.
Sony ZV-E10 II kit (ZV-E10M2K)
26MP APS-C vlog mirrorless kit. Unchanged from October 7. Confirm lens bundle contents on the listing. (price checked Oct 8, 2026, 12:44 AM IST.)
Gaming and PCs
There is still no PlayStation 5 deal to report. The PS5 Slim listing we checked at 12:48 AM IST on October 8 was a pre-order at ₹69,990 for an October 15 release, with no discount shown, so we are not listing it as a deal. For PC gaming, the HP Victus laptop above is the live-verified option, and the DualSense controller below had a small cut.
Sony DualSense wireless controller (White)
Official PS5 controller, sold by a third-party seller. A small cut rather than a festival headline. Page showed up to ₹3,000 off with SBI credit and debit cards. (price checked Oct 8, 2026, 12:48 AM IST.)
Home and kitchen
Appliances often hide the best festival MRP gaps. The Aquaguard purifier dropped ₹3,500 to ₹8,999 at the sale start, and we added two picks from Amazon's own festival deals post that matched it live: the ECOVACS Deebot T30e Omni at ₹44,999 and a Samsung 653 L side-by-side fridge at ₹79,990.
IFB 9 kg front-load washing machine (Wi-Fi)
5-star, steam refresh, eco inverter. Unchanged from October 7. Page showed up to ₹4,000 off with SBI credit and debit cards. (price checked Oct 8, 2026, 12:44 AM IST.)

ECOVACS Deebot T30e Omni robot vacuum and mop
Robot vacuum and mop with a self-emptying base, sold by Frootle India. Mega Festival Deals badge, the same ₹44,999 Amazon's own deals post quotes. Page showed up to ₹3,000 off with SBI credit and debit cards. (price checked Oct 8, 2026, 12:47 AM IST.)
Samsung 653 L side-by-side refrigerator
653-litre convertible side-by-side fridge with digital inverter. Mega Festival Deals badge, the same ₹79,990 Amazon's own deals post quotes. Page showed up to ₹10,000 off with SBI credit and debit cards. (price checked Oct 8, 2026, 12:47 AM IST.)
Fashion
Fashion and beauty run category discounts of up to about 70–80% in Amazon's festival messaging, but individual SKUs change fast. We verified one popular Nike court sneaker live; for ethnic wear, sneakers and luggage, use Rufus price history and your size filter rather than chasing a single banner percentage.
Nike Court Vision LO NN (White)
Men's low-top court sneakers. Mega Festival Deals badge; ₹5 higher than on October 7. Price shown for the default size; it can vary by size. Page showed a 10% instant discount on SBI credit cards (non-EMI), up to ₹1,500 on a minimum ₹2,490 purchase, about ₹3,146 if your card qualifies. (price checked Oct 8, 2026, 12:44 AM IST.)
Others worth opening now
Now that the festival is open, also watch Blockbuster Deals, Top 100 Deals, Mega Deals, 8 PM Deals, Exchange Mela, Buy More Save More and Amazon Combos. Grocery, beauty under ₹299, Amazon Bazaar basics, Karigar/Saheli artisan picks and Amazon Now minute-delivery in supported cities are part of Amazon's published festive plan. We will refresh this page in later sale-week runs with newly verified ASINs.
How to stack SBI, Prime and exchange without overpaying
Start from the selling price on the product page, not the struck-through MRP. Apply only the bank offer your card actually qualifies for — Amazon's partner this year is SBI at 10% instant on eligible credit, debit and credit-card EMI, with caps that vary by category. Add Prime's up-to-10% extra only when the offer badge says so. ET Retail reports that the new Prime Only Offers (an extra 5% off, or ₹250 back on a ₹2,500 cart, which Amazon's own deals post now also mentions) stack on top of bank and Amazon Pay offers, but confirm that in your cart summary before you pay. Treat exchange as selling your old device, not as free money. Use Rufus's 30–90 day price history (Amazon has promoted this for the festival) to see whether today's tag is actually low.
If you are comparing Amazon with Flipkart Big Billion Days (main sale October 9, Plus early access from October 8), read the offer breakdown on both sides. Flipkart's headline iPhone 17 and Pixel 11 numbers are effective prices that depend on bank, exchange and SuperCoins.
Our take
The main sale is live, and at our check minutes after midnight on October 8 the best moves were the Galaxy M47 at ₹26,999 (down ₹9,000), the Apple Watch Series 11 at ₹36,499 (down ₹13,401), the iPhone 16 at ₹76,999 (down ₹9,901) and the Aquaguard purifier at ₹8,999. Amazon's own devices held their festival prices (Fire TV Stick HD ₹2,999, Echo Dot ₹4,499), except the Fire TV Stick 4K Select, which went up to ₹3,999. Laptops did not move, and the iPhone 17 is still unavailable on Amazon.in. Prime early access on October 7 remains reported rather than confirmed by Amazon. Buy when the live price plus your real bank offer beats recent price history; deals rotate through the festival, so re-check this guide.

Frequently asked questions
When did Amazon Great Indian Festival 2026 start, and is it live now?
Yes. Amazon Great Indian Festival 2026 has been live for all customers since 12:00 AM IST on October 8, 2026, and Amazon's own newsroom now says it is live on Amazon.in. Prime early access from October 7 was reported by ET Retail, The Indian Express and HT Tech but not stated by Amazon. Early Deals ran from about September 25. An end date has not been announced.
Is there Prime early access on October 7 for Amazon GIF 2026?
ET Retail and The Indian Express reported on October 6, 2026 that Prime members get early access from October 7, and HT Tech reported that Prime members got special deals from 12:00 AM IST on October 7. As of 12:42 AM IST on October 8, Amazon's own About Amazon India pages say the sale is live and opened for all customers at midnight on October 8, but they do not state an early-access date, so treat October 7 as reported, not official. The main sale is now open to everyone.
What are Prime Only Offers in Amazon Great Indian Festival 2026?
According to ET Retail (October 6, 2026), Prime Only Offers give Prime members an additional 5% off on lakhs of products or, alternatively, ₹250 back on a ₹2,500 cart. ET Retail reports these come on top of brand and seller discounts, bank offers and Amazon Pay benefits. Amazon's own festival deals post now also mentions an additional 5% off and ₹250 cashback for Prime members, but not the full terms, so confirm them on the product page or the Prime Only Offers storefront.
What is the SBI offer in Amazon Great Indian Festival 2026?
Amazon confirmed a 10% instant discount on eligible SBI credit cards, debit cards and credit-card EMI. Caps and product eligibility vary — at our October 8 check, product pages showed caps such as up to ₹1,250 on most phones, ₹2,250 on the iPhone 16, ₹3,000 on headphones and watches, ₹7,000 on a 65-inch TV and ₹10,000 on a Samsung refrigerator. Fire TV, Echo and Nike pages showed the full terms: 10% up to ₹1,500 on SBI credit cards (non-EMI) with a ₹2,490 minimum purchase. Check the offer terms on each product page. Prime members also get up to 10% extra benefits on select deals.
What is the iPhone 17 price on Amazon during Great Indian Festival 2026?
At our October 6 (around 8:12 PM IST), October 7 (12:42 AM IST) and October 8 (12:45 AM IST) checks, the iPhone 17 listings we checked on Amazon.in showed "Currently unavailable", even after the main sale opened, so there was no live price to report. On October 3 it listed at ₹99,900, Apple's list price, with no festival cut. The iPhone 16 (128GB) was ₹76,999 at our October 8 check. Flipkart has teased a lower effective iPhone 17 price for Big Billion Days from October 9.
Are Amazon Great Indian Festival deals worth buying now?
Buy now only if the live Amazon.in price plus your real bank offer beats the product's recent price history (Rufus can show 30–90 days). At the October 8 sale start, phones such as the Galaxy M47 (₹26,999), OnePlus N6x (₹20,499) and Redmi 17 5G sat well below MRP, and the Apple Watch Series 11 dropped to ₹36,499. Deals rotate during the festival, so check again before you buy.
How does Amazon Great Indian Festival compare with Flipkart Big Billion Days 2026?
Amazon's festival has been live for everyone since October 8. Flipkart Big Billion Days main sale starts October 9, with Plus early access from October 8. Bank partners differ: Amazon is SBI; Flipkart emphasises Axis and ICICI. Compare effective prices after bank, exchange and coins — see our Big Billion Days price breakdown.
Do I need Amazon Prime for Great Indian Festival deals?
Main festival deals from October 8 are open to all customers, per Amazon. Prime members get up to 10% extra benefits on select offers, Prime Everyday Offers during Early Deals, exclusive coupons and faster delivery tiers. ET Retail also reported Prime Only Offers (an extra 5% off, or ₹250 back on a ₹2,500 cart), which Amazon's own deals post now also mentions, and early access from October 7, which Amazon has not confirmed on its own pages. Prime is not required for every listed price.
Where can I track Amazon GIF 2026 price drops?
Amazon says Rufus can show roughly 30 to 90 days of price history and send alerts when a product hits your target. Blockbuster Deals, Top 100 Deals and 8 PM Deals are running now that the festival is live, so re-check product pages and watch this article for refreshed live checks.
