Flipkart has started revealing its Big Billion Days 2026 phone prices, and the headline numbers look strong: the iPhone 17 at ₹79,999, the Pixel 11 at ₹69,999 and the Pixel 10a at ₹39,999. Amazon's Great Indian Festival starts a day earlier, on October 8. Before you add anything to your cart, it helps to know what those numbers actually are.
They are effective prices. Each one assumes you have the right bank card, an old phone to exchange, and in one case a balance of Flipkart SuperCoins. Take those away and the price at checkout is higher, sometimes by ₹20,000. This year that gap matters more than usual, because many phones got more expensive in India over the last few weeks.
Big Billion Days 2026 and Great Indian Festival: dates and bank offers
Flipkart's Big Billion Days 2026 begins on October 9. Flipkart Plus and Black members, and eligible Flipkart credit card holders, get early access from October 8, according to ABP Live. Early Bird Deals, a preview section for wishlisting and tracking prices, went live on September 24. Flipkart is revealing deals one brand at a time: Google Pixel on September 25, Apple on September 26, Motorola on September 27, and Samsung on October 1.
The bank offers are a 10% instant discount on select Axis Bank and ICICI Bank cards, and 10% savings with the Flipkart Axis Bank credit card. Super.money by Flipkart offers 10% cashback on a first transaction, and Flipkart Pay Later users can access up to ₹1 lakh of credit with no-cost EMI.
Amazon confirmed on September 20 that the Great Indian Festival 2026 starts on October 8, as reported by HT Tech. Amazon has not announced an end date. Its bank partner is SBI: a 10% instant discount on SBI credit and debit cards and EMI transactions. Prime members get "up to 10% extra benefits", and Amazon Pay ICICI Bank credit card holders earn 5% cashback with Prime, or 3% without. Amazon's Early Deals are already live.
iPhone 17 at ₹79,999: a deal only against this month's price

Context is everything for the iPhone 17. Apple launched it in India at ₹82,900 for 256GB in September 2025. On September 10, 2026, right after it announced the iPhone 18 Pro and the iPhone Duo foldable, Apple raised the price to ₹99,900, an increase of ₹17,000. The Indian Express reported the hike was driven partly by the global memory chip shortage, and that the 17e, iPhone Air and iPhone 16 also got more expensive.
Reuters called it one of the steepest iPhone price hikes in any market this year: up to 41% on existing models in India, against 10% to 21% for the equivalent US increases. Apple usually cuts the price of older iPhones when new ones launch. This year it did the opposite.
Against that backdrop, Flipkart's ₹79,999 looks like ₹19,901 off. Compare it with last year's launch price instead and the saving is ₹2,901. Times Now and The Tech Outlook report that Flipkart has not yet published the breakdown of the iPhone offer, so it is not yet clear how much of the ₹79,999 depends on a bank card or an exchange. Flipkart also teased the iPhone 15 at ₹63,999.
Pixel 11 at ₹69,999: the offer breakdown

Google's deal is the one with the full breakdown published. According to Flipkart's microsite, as reported by Digit and The Tech Outlook, the Pixel 11 sells for ₹89,999. The ₹69,999 price takes off a ₹12,000 bank offer, a ₹6,000 extra exchange offer and a ₹2,000 SuperCoins discount. No-cost EMI is listed at ₹5,833 a month.
Here is the maths for a typical buyer. With an eligible card but no phone to exchange and no SuperCoins, the Pixel 11 costs ₹77,999. With no eligible card either, it costs ₹89,999. The "extra exchange" bonus is paid on top of the trade-in value of your old phone, so you only get it if you give up a phone. That is fine if you were going to sell your old phone anyway. But it is not a ₹6,000 discount.
The rest of the Pixel lineup, per Digit: the Pixel 11 Pro at ₹1,03,999 (currently ₹1,19,999), the Pixel 11 Pro XL at ₹1,18,999 (currently ₹1,34,999) and the Pixel 11 Pro Fold at ₹1,70,999 (currently ₹1,86,999). Flipkart has not published the offer breakdowns for those three. Last year's Pixel 10 is listed at ₹68,999. The Pixel 10a sells for ₹47,999 and reaches ₹39,999 with a ₹4,000 bank offer and a ₹4,000 exchange bonus, so ₹43,999 is the realistic price with a card and no trade-in.
Why festive sale prices look different this year
In a normal year, festive sales bring prices below where they have been all year. In 2026, several of the biggest phone deals mostly bring prices back to where they were before the recent increases. The cause is memory. DRAM and NAND flash have been in short supply all year as AI data centres buy up production, and phone makers have been passing the cost on. Apple's iPhone increases, Google's higher Pixel 11 pricing, and Beebom's comment this week that options under ₹10,000 are "limited due to the ongoing RAM crisis" all point the same way.
This has a practical consequence. A phone that is listed at its highest-ever price can show a very large "discount" during a sale and still cost you more than it did a year ago. Judge a deal against what the phone has actually sold for over the last few months, not against today's inflated list price.
Amazon early deals worth knowing about
Amazon has published fewer flagship deals so far, but its Early Deals page lists some mid-range phones with prices. They include the iQOO Neo 10 (Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, 7,000mAh battery) at ₹41,999 including bank offers, the Redmi 17 5G (Snapdragon 4 Gen 5, 7,900mAh battery) at ₹23,999, and the OnePlus N6x (7,000mAh battery) at ₹18,499 including bank offers. As with Flipkart, check whether a price includes a bank offer before you compare it with anything else.
One Amazon feature is useful for exactly the problem described above. Amazon says its Rufus assistant can show 30 to 90-day price history for a product and send an alert when the price reaches your target. That is the easiest way to check whether a sale price is really lower than normal.
How to work out the real price before October 8
First, find the selling price. That is the number before any bank, exchange or coin offer. For the Pixel 11 it is ₹89,999, and for the Pixel 10a it is ₹47,999.
Second, subtract only the offers you will actually get. If you do not have an Axis or ICICI card, Flipkart's bank discount does not apply to you. On Amazon, the equivalent is SBI. Bank offers often have caps and minimum order values, so read the terms on the product page on sale day.
Third, treat exchange as a sale of your old phone, not a discount. Compare the total trade-in value Flipkart or Amazon offers with what you could get by selling the phone yourself. Finally, check the price history. If a phone is only just back to its price from two months ago, you can probably wait for a better offer later in the season.
Our take
The Pixel 11 at ₹77,999 with just a bank card is a real saving on its ₹89,999 price. The Pixel 10a at ₹43,999 is decent too. The iPhone 17 at ₹79,999 is harder to judge until Flipkart publishes the breakdown. If most of that saving depends on an exchange, the offer mainly reverses Apple's September increase. We will update this article as Flipkart and Amazon publish more offer details.
